Full description
  • Discover the story of the Korean DMZ on a guided day tour from Seoul. Visit key sites including Cheorwon North Korean Guard Post, 2nd Tunnel, and the DMZ Museum. No shopping stops, pure immersion in the Korean War history tour and uncover the modern significance of the Korean DMZ, one of the world's most unique geopolitical sites.

Starting from Seoul, relax on a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to the DMZ Cheorwon and enjoy delicious breakfast at rest areas on the expressway - a delightful pit stop experience ! When arrived Cheorwon, feel the tangible tension at this site, one of the closest points to North Korea's Guard Post. From there, delve into the story of the Korean War as you explore the 2nd Tunnel, which shaped the Korea Peninsula today.

The 2nd Tunnel is the widest and largest among other tunnels in Korea, and it's also the closest to North Korea. The 3.5-km-long tunnel, built by North Korea and discovered by South Korea in 1975, served as a secret invasion route for a possible sudden attack on Seoul. Take a stroll into this damp, dimly lit tunnel to feel the tension between the two Koreas. A knowledgeable guide will share memorable stories about the harsh conditions endured by the North Korean workers who dug this tunnel, shedding light on their daily lives and steadfast determination.

Then, continue to the Peace Observatory and the DMZ History Museum. Through extensive exhibits, learn about the Military Demarcation Line that separates South and North Korea, and the long-lasting impacts of the War.

As the day unfolds, we'll visit the Woljeongri Station (guard post) and the ruins of the Korean Workers' Party Headquarters, symbolic places that provide a glimpse into North Korea.

Now it's time for lunch. We'll introduce a delicious traditional Korean healthy meal made of various vegetables and side dishes called "bibimbap set" in Cheorwon. Vegans can also enjoy it by excluding the meat toppings.

Refresh with a local lunch before heading back to Seoul to reflect and reset yourself with the memory that you can only make in S Korea. The tour ends by returning to Seoul Myeongdong.
